Yellowtail, Japanese Honeywort and Japanese Pepper Powder Miso Soup

Yellowtail is famous for its different names in its different growth periods. This miso soup is for all the members of your family.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Yellowtail 160 g
Mitsuba (Japanese honeywort) 1/2 bunch
Kona-zansho (Japanese pepper powder) A dash
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

Directions

  1. Cut the yellowtail into proper sizes. Separate the leaves from the mitsuba and cut its stalks to 3 ~ 4-cm length.
  2. Bring the dashi stock to a boil and add the yellowtail. After the yellowtail is cooked, add the mitsuba and boil for a short time.
  3. Lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the kona-zansho sprinkled.
