Cod and Spinach Miso Soup

This is a miso soup of cod and spinach, both of which are in season and tasty in winter.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Cod 120 g
Spinach 1/2 bunch
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

Kome (Rice) miso


  1. Cut the cod into proper sizes. Boil the spinach in water and cut to 3-cm length.
  2. Boil the cod in the dashi stock.
  3. After the cod is cooked, lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the spinach on top.

★ A Note

Cod is a standard ingredient of Japanese stews. Since its meat is soft, treat it with care.
