Chicken and Wheat Gluten Cake Miso Soup

This is a special version miso soup of ordinary ingredients.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Chicken 200 g
Uzumaki-fu (Spiral wheat gluten cakes) 30 pieces (small)
Red bell pepper 1/4
Yellow bell pepper 1/4
Sobanome (Buckwheat sprouts) Several
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

  1. Cut the chicken into proper sizes. Cut out stars from the red and yellow bell peppers.
  2. Boil the chicken and bell peppers in the dashi stock until tender. Add the uzumaki-fu and boil for a moment.
  3. Lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the sobanome on top.

★ A Note

Children would be pleased with this miso soup. You can shape bell peppers into various shapes.
