Kintoki Sweet Potato and Flat Fish Cake Miso Soup
Children love sweet kintoki sweet potato (kintoki-imo) and fluffy flat fish cake (hanpen) in this miso soup.

- Cut the kintoki-imo into 1-cm round slices and the hanpen into triangular pieces in proper size. Chop the turnip leaves.
- Boil the kintoki-imo in the dashi stock until tender. Add the hanpen to cook.
- Lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the turnip leaves sprinkled.
★ A Note
The taste of kintoki-imo differs between soon after digging out and after being stored for some time. You can try the difference in taste.
