Flowering Chive and Pumpkin Miso Soup

Fragrant flowering chives go well with miso.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Small pumpkin 1/8
Flowering chives 8 ~ 10 (40 g)
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

  1. Cut the pumpkin, unskinned, into proper sizes and the flowering chives into 3-cm lengths.
  2. Bring the dashi stock together with the pumpkin to a boil. After the pumpkin becomes tender, stop heating and dissolve the miso.
  3. Add the flowering chives and stir lightly. Serve the miso soup in bowls.
