Fragrant flowering chives go well with miso.

Directions
- Cut the pumpkin, unskinned, into proper sizes and the flowering chives into 3-cm lengths.
- Bring the dashi stock together with the pumpkin to a boil. After the pumpkin becomes tender, stop heating and dissolve the miso.
- Add the flowering chives and stir lightly. Serve the miso soup in bowls.
