Flavorous Burdock Miso Soup

The flavor of burdock (gobo) is packed in this miso soup with various ingredients.

Gobo 1
Carrot 1/2
Fresh shiitake mushroom 2
(Cayenne pepper powder)
A pinch
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

  1. Shave the gobo into slightly larger slices and soak them in water. Slice the carrot into rectangles and the shiitake mushroom.
  2. Bring the dashi stock to a boil and add the gobo, carrot and shiitake mushroom. After the ingredients are cooked, dissolve the miso and boil for a moment.
  3. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the ichimi-togarashi sprinkled.
